I'm up for being a judge although wouldn't mind having a second judge so I can't be blamed for ruining someone's New Year...

I'm flattered to be named among possible judges. If you wish, I will serve.

I just want it on record I am actually younger than Cheryl by two weeks and I have not got a Geordie accent so they Americans should be able to understand me if we take it stateside.

I don't think it will be fair if Philomena is a judge, she's bound to pick a man even if his poem's rubbish!

Meadow! Sooooo not true. I would be very impartial and incorruptible even with bribes of expensive gin and rose creams.

Certainly not! I would hold the honour of judge far brighter than the glitter of tobran. Hope you're going to enter Meadow.

Yes I will enter my dear, sweet friend> I love Wayland and Don 1 too, so lucky that I am such good friends with all the judges!

Actually, I hope the people on this site have a sense of humour.......

here is one i wrote for my kids, soft I know but hey its Christmas !.. Good luck everyone :D

What does christmas mean to you?
Is it the dream you always knew?
Is Santa heading down your way
With lots of gifts to make your day?

Is that a Comet, or a star
Or Santa flying from afar?
Has Daddy left a warm mince Pie
To feed him up as he goes by?

And as you lay all warm in bed
With dreams of presents in your head
Spare a thought for Santa's crew
And all the work they do for you

So many homes to stop and call
He does so well to visit all
Santas magic spell is cast
To every home from first to last

So slumber well and sleep so sound
Knowing Santas on his round
For though he's busy, lots to do
He knows what Xmas means to you

And as you open gifts galore
Beneath the tree we all adore
Look into the morning sky
You may see Santa wave goodbye.... :P
