It is true, this is a dark world. The problem is, people find darkness and violence attractive and exciting. Look what is going on in London at the moment.

I and others are trying to provide the antidote to this, but it is a long, slow job. We try to show people that it is worthwhile overcoming their natural self-centredness, and care for others. What self-centredness tries to achieve, and does so in a fragile way, is achieved more solidly by such a community. You don't need to look out for No. 1 when everyone is looking out for you, and you for them. The more you build others up, the more you get built up in return.

It isn't as exciting as setting light to a car, but it is the way of contentment and happiness.
