Elvira, I bow to you as the peasant I am. But, with ideas above my station and an energy that, all too often, lends itself to mischief, I am am brimming with pleasure and gratitude at your offer of alliance. Born from less than true and righteous blood, I have fought to be accepted in this land and regarded as a equal across its dark and mysterious expanse. No more do I wish to cross bows and cause vexation at every turn. But...nor will I shun the poor and lowly creatures who have guided me gently thus far, and without gain, to this place we call 'The Forum'. Forgive me if I am removed at times...though, I will never roam too far and beyond the grasping reach of the vigorous, bawling, howling screams, which draw me back each time I stray.

Forgive me, also, if I rest too long...idle after a long day of sinking ships and feasting upon their appetizing crew. I am, after all, only trying to be human and, even though I know my wicked, vicious ways must be suppressed during visits to The Forum, I am not entirely sure that the odd dander and hackle shall not be got well and truly up at the very mention of my name.

I shall, indeed, endeavour to be as well-behaved as possible, but...still...the temptation to cause a slight, but satisfying, erruption of choler in those who would rather choose to poke me quite hard with a sharp stick, than read even just one more of my scrawlings...is always too strong to say no to. I could deceive you all this very minute and tell you I was done with my old, depraved ways, but I never could resist a hearty brawl with an unsuspecting on-looker.

It seems that the spirit of Grimney is very much alive, but Grimwood Scribes and his kind are keen to crush that. Our feud goes back to the beginning, when Grimney was but a mere settlement, and the Northern tribe of Klem, beyond the Mountains of the Moon, from where I was spawned joined forces with the Eastern Hoard that dwelt in the Mire lands. It was these two clans that built Grimney. For a time we lived in peace, happy with our lot, simply chatting at Holmes' Tavern and smoking pipe weed, but Grimwood had other plans, he wanted to control Grimney and appointed a variety of unsavoury individuals as Regulators and one by one my friends were banished into exile. Others simply vanished and were never heard from again. Draygon the Scar formed the Vanguard Of Krell in an attempt to win back supporters and two years ago I joined him in that pursuit. I gained power and held a position as a Regulator and threatened to banish Grimwood and his followers, but the attempt failed, Draygon was sent into exile and I too was banished alongside him. I have been able to return as many of those who opposed me have themselves been banished or have left the Regulators and joined the Chaos Engine. Although Garak the Spymaster seems to be in both groups and this shows the hypocrisy behind Grimwood's regime.

I should take care Tanza, Grimwood is not fond of non humans, and in reality is nothing more than a tax hungry racist. His picture is a mask to frighten others, in reality he does not look like that at all. I am safe for now as I am under the protection of the Zoriat.

Elvira you should be aware that Grimwood has gained his power simply by removing all obstacles that were in his way, and you would be wise not to take his side in Grimney matters that you may now be a part of. Be wary of getting to close to the devious Mire Lord.

Tanza, I am enlightened and delighted in equal measure at the glimpse into your true self that you have presented. Human or not matters little to me, I respect those that know what they are.....

I ain't got a clue who I am anymore...all this theeing and thouing, lord and mastering...well it sets me on me 'aunches good 'n proper I can tell ya. You mark my words, no good'l come of it, I'm a good girl I am, washed me face n hand afore I clothed myself in raiment befitting a queen in The Queen's Coven. Alliances aside I feel, the only ones I will truely let my noble guard down in front of are the fellow maidens (honest!) in my coven and I would venture forth advice to them to do the same. Ooer missus, see what I mean I'm all of a dither!

In regards to Tanza, Nydas and Elvira, having drifted through the forums as I often drift and peruse to see what is going on, (I liked the so called alien short story by the way, I read your work when it is submitted, I am your admin reader Nydas) I noticed the comments Nydas about Queen's and Covens. So with agreement from the Supreme Grimney Being, the Queen's Coven is now in existence. Perhaps a novelty, but it does imply your ever growing importance here in Grimney.

Thank you kind Wizard for your encouraging words I am currently engaged in writing a song called 'The diary of Cora Pearl' if it turns out any good I will record and every time I venture forth to warble I shall be advertising the wonderful world of Grimney and it's bounteous virtues. I may enlist the assistance of others from the land in the creation of this wonder (fingers crossed as if in spellcasting!) only time will tell.

This is not the first time I have ventured into lands left desolate through the parting of clans and subsequent desertion. I know well the harm that such arrogant cliquetry can do to a community. I fear not the twisted, crooked finger of order that you speak of. They have tried and failed to tame my frolicking ways and been left bent and destroyed. I had the pleasure of entering a land which professed no less than to be able to heal, or at least calm, my turbulent mind. Alas, I fear, if I was actually at the end of my days with turmoil and the stress of a thousand insanes, I would have...undoubtedly ended my own life there and then, without hesitation...due to the narrowness and closedness of the inhabitants.

Thank my various gods that I have the blood of a viper running through my veins. Beware is a word all others should heed, for I am too hardened by countless victories and defeats to even turn my head to hear such futile warnings.

My goodness, what drama, fortunately many in Grimney are good and peace loving, I number myself amongst them. I never involve myself in feuds. I spend my time reading and listening to music, and joyous it is to have individuals that share my interests! Very exciting to hear of the song about Cora Pearl, she will be delighted. If I am able to help in any way, I would be delighted to do so.
