*The wolf licks the blood from Vortigern's fingers and then puts his paws on the tall man's shoulders and slobbers over his face like he used when he was a cub. Nearby is an enormous stag with its throat ripped out. Cloud tears a hind quarter off and offers it to Vortigern.
The wolf then turns his nose to the moon and gives another loud howl. *
