Now who do you think will win? The Duke of Death with his mermaid Princess and barbarian husband, or the High Council who are trying to put forward the Queen's base born cousin as a regent?

Surely the High Council don't mean to put a bastard on the throne? That is worse than a half mermaid Princess.

Are you disappointed that Carados did not give you the Princess as a bride? You would make a wonderful king and I hear she is very beautiful.

I'd have no need of your services any more. I hear she is very beautiful and it's a well known fact mermaids are insatiable. Immortal too, imagine that. A beauty that never fades, like a gemstone.

Yes the High Council are struggling to find a person on royal blood that is born on the right side of the blanket. Everyone else is loyal to Carados and the Queen, and has bent the knee to them. They have the money though. Unless the East is taken and they win the treasury...
