And as for not wanting to.., well what you want is of little importance. It is your duty. Out there on the battle fields, thousands of men are dying for their duty to you and your family, so the least you can do is your duty with a smile.

Is there anything I can get you to cheer your heart? Shall I send for the minstrels to play you a song or two? My master will not be happy to see you tearful.

Kalvos... you know of him? It seems you know me better than I know you. Not hard of course, the Queen only told me I was getting married on the morning of our wedding. She and my father thought is was the best way. It probably was for them, I would have escaped if I was given the chance.

Poor boy, but I was Kalvos once, so no need to wait for him to grow into me. Be thankful for what you have, be thankful for small mercies.
