The Land of Grimney - The Illustrated Adventures of Cora Pearl, aged 12

Somebody's nicked me poem
I wonder where it went
I've heard of plagiarism
But this does not make sense
One minute it was there
Next minute it was not
I wonder if it's Arnus
who stole it from its spot
Or maybe it was Hoggy
with his great big appetite
who came along and ate my words
In the middle of the night
I know I am a genius
It's plain for all to see
But gobbling up my poems
Is not quite crickety
Strange things go on in Grimney
But this really takes the crown
A poem thief's among us
How low can you sink down?

Know how you feel! you must lock them poems up, like I have to secure the bistro

Dear Meadow, I must admit
I do enjoy devouring lit
But only figuratively
Or else it just repeats on me
So if I had eaten your art
You'd hear it in a burp or fart.

OK Hoggy you're off the hook
But here's a warning for you chuck
If you had swallowed my verse
I'd sue and empty your purse

Meadow, How dare you accuse me
of stealing your poetry?
I only nick valuable stuff
And your poems are pretty rough!
I don't much like your accusation
I have to keep my reputation
I only steal valuable art

Oh dearest Arnus Zodukeq
Will you please wind in your neck
Methinks you doth protest too much
Don’t like my poems? You’re out of touch
Maybe it was Slayvern Kursk
Stole my ditty, saw the worst
It was about him after all
Can’t fool that fiend He’s on the ball!
Or maybe he was proud to claim
He’d made it into my hall of ‘fame’
Perhaps he’s had it framed and hung
To show his praises have been sung
Where's Miss Marple when you need her?
This Grimney mystery would feed her
imagination that's for sure
Or maybe old Clouseau could lure
Our criminal from his hiding place
Yes I'm sure that he could solve the case
Throw that thief into Macewind jail
Where he'll live on water and bread that's stale
That would make all Grimnian's think
Twice before they try to slink
Away in shadows late at night
carrying my copy right?!

Oh dear Lady! What a crime
Making off with Meadow's rhyme
Makes you think Whatever next?
Nothing's safe, not even text
I shall tell Sir Robert Pearl
What happened to my favourite girl
We know there's criminals in this land
But THAT was rather underhand
Making off with Meadow's words
Some folk are really quite absurd
I suppose you really should be flattered
Not devastated or shattered
The thief must love your poetry
To risk being hanged from a Grimney tree
In order to steal your art away
If I catch him I'll make him pay!
Have you asked SMacca and Tanith?
They may have a clue to who's the thief
I think we need to put a bolt
On the door to this precious vault!

I guess it was the spammers dear

It is just pure jealousy I fear
Let's hope they originate their own poem's cheer
