The battle in the Black Forest
A defeat from under cover
Surprising all those from behind
The woods our friend and mother
Not expecting our visit via such danger
Most were scared of this terrain
But fear moved us on like a ranger
Forest was safe, place you could trust
Unlike man intent on turning us to dust
The enemy now in our sights
Our machine guns at the ready
Ignoring the bullets & insect bites
Watching opposition fall like gentry
