Training... Yes, the boy should train harder. Although my niece is so beautiful it is scarcely a wonder he favours spending time in her bed than clashing swords with you.

*Menippe rolls her eyes.*.

Such a typical human assumption. The humans were once merfolk, they lived in the sea but were an aggressive and arrogant tribe. They angered the Goddess and she cast them out to dry land. She took their tails and immortality. A cursed race humans... Cursed by their own greed and violence.

Master Stark... I should apologise for distracting your pupil.

Hello Menippe. Stark. Yes. We will resume our training in the morning, but it's very late and Philomena and I need to put Karina to bed and get a little sleep ourselves.

*He takes Philomena's hand and kisses it*.

Let's go and snuggle up together angel.

*He smiles at Menippe and Stark*.

See you in the morning.

*He leads Philomena upstairs*.

Where is my dear Gwenllian? I long to chat over a glass of firewater and tell her about the cottage!

Of course!

*Philomena pours two large firewaters.*

Did you know Master Stark has a crush on you?

Why not? You are very beautiful for a human... but then I think you must be part mermaid anyway.

*She hugs her friend.*

Yes, he has promised to be more patient and.... he's going to buy me a cottage by Hobsbane Falls.

*Philomena claps her hands with delight.*

Isn't that wonderful?
