I've brought some cakes! Urat please could I place them on the bar so you can all eat your fill! They are very tasty and full of delectable spices.

I also have my feather duster and presently I will get rid of those sticky dust traps for you. Although I will have to get rid of this annoying cloak, I only wore it to conceal my wings on the way here...you can't be too careful.*whispers*

Don't be too hard on Sweeney Green dear Urat, it really can't be helped the spiders can creep and climb a long way up and he does do a mighty job of the privy, which is a task to be honoured...especially after certain individuals have graced it with their presence.

Holmes tavern is absolutely beautiful and I love it! The cosy tables, the candles that shine so brightly, the barrels and beams - the beams are my favourite place...I can look and listen quietly and do you know...the tops of heads are soooo interesting!

I'm thinking I should have a little tiny cup of something sweet to drink...now Xibes tells me I can't trade with buttons but she gave me this silver thing. I hope it will do.

*eve naive climbs onto a stool and sits with elbows on the bar resting her chin on her hands*

Wayland, it is good to see you back. I am glad to hear your mission went well. There has been a little unpleasantness and I am staying at your beautiful waterfall until things die down. I hope you don't mind. The waters are the purest I have swum in and make me feel more radiant than ever. We could have used your healing hands the other day, a man was attacked in the mire and lies mortally wounded in Toraz. Perhaps you could visit him?

Eve my sweet flitting fairy, I am glad you have not been scared off by those naughty men. Have a drop of mead on me, I think you will find a thimble is easier to drink out of than Urat's heavy glasses. I have a pretty little one in my handbag somewhere, another odd gift from an admirer.

Urat darling very sweet of you to offer your comb but I never travel with out a dozen on so. My bruises are a little better now. Still no sign of Silas? Perhaps he to has heard of the trouble.

why thank you so much Philomena! *eve twists the thimble in her hand and eyes it admiringly*

That is very pretty look at it sparkling in the candlelight!
It must be marvellous having so many admirers giving you so many pretty gifts! I've only had one admirer, back in the forest when I was still only a girl really. The problem was he was an elf...and that of course did not go down very well with my papa!

I was quite taken with him though, he would come and sit near my door and sing the most beautiful elven songs and he had the lovliest silver locks. We went for a walk once and he tried to hold my hand, but papa spied us and chased him right across the forest! He did give me a gift though, an amulet with a pretty green stone...look! Sometimes it glows and feels soooo warm.

Ah well I never saw him again.

I must visit these waterfalls myself one day, perhaps I will take Xibes for a picnic there soon. Maybe take Wayland some wheat bread! Xibes finds the finest ingredients for my baking...I'm not allowed to ask how...

Ah poor eve, love between races can be hard. I am myself the daughter of a mermaid and human, although I never knew my father and always see myself as a full mermaid. I have my mother's weakness for human men and worse still men that attract trouble it seems. My grandmother always tells me that if I can't love sensibly, I must love briefly.

I hope that you find another admirer soon.

Ahem..Hello eve i had a sneaky suspicion you would be here. What's this I hear you talking about ingredients? I gather my resources just the same way as everyone else in Grimney ;) Just so happens that your sweet little hands make extra special creations out of them! Oh hello there Philomena, very nice to see you hope that you are doing well? In fact I think i will buy us all a drink, had a stroke of luck on the way over.
Are we safe to uncover our wings how i do hate to cram them under these blasted cloaks! Oh yum, I spy your oat cakes on the bar I think I'll take a nibble or two, I have worked up quite an appetite. eve have u seen our feather duster? I hunted high and low. I was a little bit suspicious about a hooded character wandering around outside, just a little way up by the old tree stumps, perhaps I'll mention it to Urat. But for now I'm going to sit in the corner for a short while and eavesdrop

Xibes how nice to see you here too. I think I may have another little thimble for you. Uncover your wings but be ready to pull you cloaks in if anyone enters. A dark hooded figure, you say? That does not sound good.

Have been applying salve regularly and now beginning to look like its unblemished self again. Some men really can't help themselves.

You can always buy a mermaid a drink, where do you think the phrase 'drink like a fish' comes from?
