Thank you Phliomena I'll give the rest breakfast when they finally wake up, then I'm off home, for a hot bath and a change of clothes.

Sweeny...I wonder if it's the same helmet I sat on the other night. Fancy getting it wedged in the privy. Some of these soldiers don't care where they stick their helmets. It's not the first one I've had stuck up me I can tell you!...and it probably wont be the last!

Tanza, I wish you had been there last night to deal with the bottom pinching ones. Just to warn you, Drake has left one of his men to keep an eye on us. One sniff of trouble and they will arrest Urat.

Do you have any camel left? Think the kelpie deserves a treat.

Gideon Drake enjoyed his bread and cheese breakfast. They have now left. you'll be pleased to know. Kalvos, rode out very early, he said he could see fire on the horizon and went to investigate. Philomena help yourself to whatever is in the storeroom and feed your kelpie. Thank you both once again for your help last night! Good day Tanza! Lovely to see you! I must dash, need to get to Toraz before the market closes. :D

You're very welcome Urat, though I don't think either of us will be choosing it as a career path!!!
But anything to keep these knights sweet. The one they've left behind , Kalvos, seems to be a real gentlemen and very fair in his dealings.
Gideon Drake seems to think that turmoil is ahead and the time will come when Grimney citizens must stand together to protect our fair land.
Dark days indeed :(

Yes...I have plenty of camel left. You're very welcome to it Philomena. It gave me terrible wind. I've had an awful bout of the yabnabs over the last week or so...you'll know what I mean if you've ever met a Yabnab. But, yes, you are very welcome indeed. I'm moving on to the giraffe I have stashed in my old shed. I know I shouldn't really, but I just can't help myself. I don't mind the stretching of the neck so much...I can see over high fences and get a drink faster at the bar, when the Tavern's heaving to burst. However, the last time I ate giraffe, I got a terribly bad throat. You can imagine how bad it would be with an elongated neck. Hell only knows how many fisherman's friends I had to suck on to ease the problem. I doubt I'll get away with that again...apparently it's a criminal offence in a public place.

Bottom pinchers eh? They'll be lucky if they're left with their hair and eyebrows still on, after getting too close to my back entrance as it's been of late. I hardly had to light the barbecue last week...one quick burst from my gnarly crack and hey presto...dinner was well and truly torched to perfection! Crafty buggers they are...not to mention it would probably take at least twenty of them to completely satisfy my buttock-pinching requirements. No need to look like that. What with my pig nose, giraffe neck, camel hump and pheasant brain (nearly gone now by the way), I take what I can get!!

Oh well, I'm off to brush the backs of my hands. I'm off out tonight to see a play. If I chew on a few steaks of giraffe before I go, I reckon I'll be able to sit at the back and still see everything!!

Baah then.

Thank you Tanza, now the kelpie isn't allowed to eat peasant children any more I'm trying to find something else he enjoys. He's sulking a little bit because I didn't let him eat a soldier yesterday and I don't want to take him for a long ride because my shapely derrière is so bruised from those brutes' pinching fingers. Although when I find out who has been informing on Urat, I may let the kelpie have a little nibble of naughty meat as a treat.

Now where is my comb? I hardly managed to comb my hair a thousand times yesterday, we mustn't let our little beauty routines slip just because someone is threatening to torch the tavern. Do enjoy your play.

 Have they gone?

Do you know that I have been sat up in those beams all night long and I daren't come down, then I fell asleep and dreamt of giant toads! I was shaking so much I was afraid I would start sprinkling fairy dust on heads and surely be found! I've heard that they pull wings of fairies for fun...sometimes even arms and legs!

But then I saw something in the one called Gideon... I don't believe he is as hard-hearted as he would seem, and the young yellow haired fellow..forgive me I can't recall his name..but I could clearly see a beautiful kindly aura!

Ooooh my legs are still quivering like snape grass in the wind....and just look at my wormsilk skirt, absolutely covered in cobwebs - next time I visit I will bring a feather duster and get rid of what's left up there.

Gwen and Philomena were so brave...as were you all! I shall go home immediately as Xibes is probably wondering where on earth I have got to. Maybe if I have time I will bake you all some delectable oatcakes....hmm spices...cloves.. a little mace...and a special little fairy something for added sweetness! ;)

*eve-naive skips out of the door mumbling ingredients and pulling cobwebs from her hair*

Sweeney Green you need to unload my cart, I've brought the stock we need, and that toilet brush you asked for, the curved handle one, it's blue, your favourite colour. Dewberry juice too!

Philomena you may borrow my comb if you would like. No we mustn't let our little beauty routines slip must we. The thought of the tavern being torched again makes me shudder. I’m sorry that your shapely derierre is balck and blue. I’ve got some ointment that might help there!

I know what you mean about that Yabnab Tanza... Not a favoured aroma that... :?

I hope you enjoy your play Tanza! Although I’ve been away much of the day and you already may have been and returned, time is a very strange thing in Grimney!

My goodness yes Tanza, it’s just as well you were not here, I think you may have had major issues with them. :o

Evenaive soon came and went. I was hoping to chat, I’m rather taken with that fairy. Yes, it was fortunate that certain individuals remained away from the bar.

I had no idea she was hiding amidst the beams of the tavern, quite intuitive though that fairy. I know Gideon from the old times... I do hope she is right about them. We’ll soon find out as Kalvos will be staying with us for a time. Although I wonder where he is?

Oakcakes sound lovely! That would make a change from all that radigan pie we eat, I'm beginning to get quite bloated!

Quiet in the tavern tonight, people must be aware of who visited us last night.

Sweeney Green the tavern is dusty! That will not do, I shall extend your duties to a higher instead of a lower purpose, I can’t have cobwebs hanging from the ceiling. Mind you I do hope the privy has had a good clean. :)

And Gwenllian, thanks to you for making them breakfast. Gideon liked the cheese! :D

The King is in fine health. He is immortal and is not subject to disease in any form. This is one of the ways in which he has become the source of the healing I and my fellows are able to pass on to others.

The mission was a success. There were gathered knights, oracles, bards, seers, healers, teachers and many others. Many foreigners observed our celebrations today and were highly complimentary of all that they saw.
