Hello Ishuheri, some people are just too oversensitive, didn't realize he was like that. He's pretty good at writing, but that seems a bit of an over reaction, but I guess it's best not to say stuff, best said by private message maybe? Anyway, welcome to Grimney.

This poem was about social networking websites and it was an amusing critique of them. Sadly Iceman has decided to remove his poem, and he has stepped down from the stone podium and perhaps entered the Realm of Silence. I suppose life in the Vault can become quite intense sometimes. I put it down to the confined spaces and the thick stone windowless walls, and the many winding passageways. The echoing voices in the candlelit darkness can sometimes merge, especially when there are many poets sharing their gifts.

I agree Don I loved Icemans work and personally couldn't care less if the grammer or punctuation was shaky (not that I noticed!) It was the sentiment that mattered and he was one that went right to the heart :(

I liked Iceman's poems too, but they've all gone, hardly fair on the rest of us who liked to read them. He had a lot of style and substance. Hope he returns to the Vault, he had many profound things to say. Lego Stan, Willow, and now Iceman... Too many losses...

Iceman's withdrawal is somewhat perplexing and equally saddening.

Willow will be back, I'm sure of that...well, almost sure.

Not good. Not good at all. Iceman was gifted. I think that judging a poem on its spelling is wrong. Very wrong. Iceman had a very deep poetic mind, and if he has left the Vault, he will be very much missed. Grimney may have thousands of visitors every month, but he had earned his place here, and I am sorry, very sorry that he has gone.

Excuse me, I didn't judge him at all. I very much enjoyed the poem, it was very funny - I said so in my opening line. I offered technical input, I did not attack or degrade his poetry for it. It was offered constructively.

Sensitive artistic temperaments aside, I'm sure he was very gifted. But so are a lot of people, and I'm sure others who are just as talented will come along in the future. Your own work is no doubt very good as well.

You can only control your own actions - what others choose to do is up to them. If he chose to take offence, well, in the words of Eleanor Roosevelt: "No one can make you feel inferior without your consent."

If the intention of posts is to make me feel bad enough to leave, then please, simply say so and I will - no point in not-so-subtleties. It isn't a big deal to me. The internet is vast. But if you're happy to let your friend find his own way and acknowledge an honest mistake, then that's good too.

I am not trying to make you feel bad, certainly not. I expressed a sadness that Iceman had gone, and simply thought that the comments in regards to grammar were unwarranted.

Iceman has been here for quite sometime, and I think it is best to get to know others before you comment upon their writing... It was only your first post I noticed, and you would not go up to a stranger and comment on the way they spoke if you saw them in the street, after all it's the meaning behind the words that matters most.

Agreed. Constructive criticism is fine, but perhaps it is best to give it if someone asks for it? Other than that I welcome individuals with strong minds, knowledge and opinions and you do have lots to say, and that is pleasing as it keeps Grimney thriving. Oh and you have brought us trampolining nudists... How did Grimney get by without them? More please. ;)

Iceman, if you're reading this, I think the suggestion you post your poetry in the 'stories' section was so we could all rate it and it could be more accessible to outsiders too etc. I, for one, would have been selecting five stars quite a bit if you had. There's no reason why you can't submit in the forum as well...we all do that and, after all, it often invites cosy little chats about points made in people's work...especially yours.

I can see why you'd want to leave us...it doesn't seem worth logging into a forum where your grammar is scrutinized. I know I have a good go at Daemon sometimes for tampering with mine, but he deserves it and, also, a good smacking too! However, I don't feel it's appropriate between us. I often leave quotes open-ended and think...oh what the Hell...no-one's gonna care. They know I try to write proppa most of the time...it's not like they'd think I was a complete div (much).

Ishuheri...you are on my 'to eat' list, but I probably wont have time...I have three camels left from last week and a giraffe I'm trying to find space for and, if you're wondering why I haven't put an apostrophe in 'wont'...it's because I never do. It's one of those things I've decided against and I'm sticking to it. I just wont put one in...I wont. I WONT! Other than that, feel free to poke fun at my grammar or spelling. <pokes Ishuheri in the eye and licks him up the cheek> Hmmm...maybe I will have time.

Anyway, there's no need for anyone to be leaving. We're all interested in anything people post. That's why we're here. So, stay and contribute. All our differences make for a unique combination in Grimney. No need for people to disappear if one or two people have a pop at them. We can't all agree on everything can we? What a boring world this would be if we did.

Gosh...have you ever farted after eating camel?...omg...don't look everyone!.
