I saw you today
I know that I did
just a glimpse through the crowd
before you were hid

I see you a lot
as I go through my day
I never expect it
and you never stay

sometimes your laughter
will drift past my door
and sometimes I smell it,
that perfume you wore

Each day I still miss you
though it's been eight long years
and some days I cry for you
when no one can hear

you'll always be with me
That's how it should be
because you are my Mum
and you'd never leave me

Beautiful poem. My mum died some years back, and I miss her, too. I had the privilege of staying with her the weekend before she died. We played scrabble, and she beat me! Wonderful! She passed a couple of days later. I was truly blessed to have her as my mother.

Thank you so much guys our parents are very precious we should cherish them while we can. I tell my children and my partner I love them every day because that's the last memory of me I want them to have . No Tanza she couldn't sew a button on! But she was an Olympic standard knitter and baker lol

I know what you mean Tanza, but take a look in the mirror, I bet you'll see a little bit of them in your reflection x

And yes that's exactly the knitting I mean, I swear she produced jumpers overnight!! I'm pretty speedy myself but not up to her standard !!
