Thank you Elvira...I appreciate your compliments. One of my many offspring created it for me. I think it shows my pretty eyes off so well don't you think?? They do actually have a little more blue in them, but who cares. You see now why the angry mobs make a constant beeline for my house. They have convinced themselves that I am, in some way, dangerous. It's not even as if I'm actively inviting it! They just don't give up! I was even passing mugs of broth out to them the other night just to keep them quiet. However, it was quite satisfying to know they were drinking the boiled blood and guts of two of their members who happened to straggle past earlier. Punctuality isn't always a good thing...as they found out. I know, I know...I'm giving up, but cold turkey is always a problem for me...cold humans not such a problem though. OOhh I just love those slicey noises! I am giving up, honest. There really is a good person inside of me..in fact, there are many hehehe.

Ok, Here's the plan.

1. Grimnian member Home page.

We'll give you all an area where you can add whatever info you like - images and such, plus there will be privacy options to determine what info to show.

There'll be a link to show any stories that Grimnians have submitted, plus a link to see any images they have submitted.

Grimnians will be able to opt out of having a home page.

We'll add a side link to show the members directory, plus a search mechanism.

2. Members' Galley.

Members will be able to upload images to the gallery. andl be able
to select a category in which the images will be allocated.

With a pop up large image and a click through to more details.

Logged in Grimnians will be able to rate images (star rating 1 to 5), plus citizens will be able to comment.

3. Citizens' stories.

Make these public (add the moment only logged in citizen can see them.

We'll add a function so Grimnians can keep their stories private if
desired. But add a search feature. Add a rating system and the ability to comment.

4. Forum. This needs some structure. Move some of the stuff out of the Holmes' Tavern into the citizens' own main forum. Ie. Poetry & Literary events, Movie discussion, book discussions, Puzzles, Etc.

How does all that sound? This is the plan of the Great Overseer.

Word Wizard, I for one like the plan of the Great Overseer and am very much looking forward to being part of the evolution of Grimney.
The plan shows forward thinking tempered by restraint. Sign me up for a members home page please!! :D

I agree...I'll have anything. If it's free...get me one!! We will, of course, have to watch out for trolls wrecking the comments and ratings sections. Some of the more sensitive writers may be deterred from posting if their work is criticized too harshly. I know what people can be like...tough and chewy.

Anyway...trolls...good, hard-bellied, friendly ones I like...pathetic, cowardly, anonymous ones I do not. We shall see. Personally, I couldn't give a firkin if someone (or everyone) doesn't like my stuff...it's for my own benefit and others if they like it. I don't hold their heads over the text and force them to read (however, that does sound pretty satisfying).

I hope others can feel the same. It would be a shame to lose some of the sweeter-natured posters as a result of them feeling put down. Maybe, we could get names and addresses of everyone who wants to comment. That way, if they are rude, I can visit them...when it's dark...just to be friendly you understand :->

I wasn't sure about it needing to change before but I'm looking forward to seeing what the new Grimney looks like now...

...I may rejoin as a new person so that I can be all shiny, touchable and biteable again. I miss those days...
