We are our own song.
A symphony, melody, or staccato.
When we meet, our songs may harmonize
Or cacophonize.
When you meet me,
Choose harmony.

There once was a golfer from Calcutta,
He was obsessed with the game, a mad nutter!
As he was always 'on course'
His wife did him divorce,
So he went off and married his putter!

One Maudlin Day.

The sky said “I’ll be grey today,
Because I’m feeling blue”
The sea said “That’s a good idea,
I think I’ll copy you.”

Dark rolling clouds are mirrored
By the stormy choppy waves
And endless dull of colour
Feels as though it lasts for days

With crash of light and flash of sound
The greyness dims to black;
Though sea and sky are frightened
They know there’s no turning back

Momentum gains from what they’ve done
When first deciding mood
And violent rainstorms lash them down
As from the heavens hewed

The wind whistles hypnotically
Around and round in fear
It’s feverish pitch blasts over ground
But never gets too near

And just as old world’s weary bones
Begin to crack with strain,
The sky and sea resolve themselves
And all is well again.

Hold Me Close

“Will you stay and keep me company tonight?”
She whispered in my ear
as I felt the wetness of her tear.
“Will you stay and keep me company tonight?”

“I don’t wish to be left alone.”
A cry of help was all she gave
and yes, it was her I was here to save.
“No I won’t leave you alone.”

“Lie here beside me, in my bed.”
Leading me, whilst holding my hand,
She took me to her distant land.
“Yes, I’ll lie beside you, in your bed.”

“Please hold me, hold me close.”
Was said, as our bodies were entwined,
all our worries were left behind.
“Please hold me, hold me close.”

Lost

It’s not because the path is dark,
but it is too dark to find the path, in a countryside car park.
When someone claims to have found the track,
It crosses no-one’s mind to question if this is the right way back.

A Poem by The Glasgow Bard

Och, how the leaves an' branches dance
As spring's zephyrs blow
How the wee burdies swoop an' sing
AN' how the rivers flow
The sweet signs o' spring are all around.
I'll kill ye dead if you no gi' me a pound.

A Poem by The Glasgow Bard

Oh, the banks an' braes are callin' me
Down where the heather grows
Now, I'm askin' you ta gi' us a quid
Or I'll pop you on the nose.

A Poem by the Glasgow Bard

Oh, ma love, ma fair, fair love
With eyes like the night and skin like a dove
The sun shines down wherever ye stray
And the skies above wouldna dare t'be grey
Ma heart sings ta hear your sweet voice
An' your laughter maks ma soul rejoice
So I had ta write ye this wee, wee note
Justa say, gi' us a quid or I'll cut ya throat.

Erm. That is the real me. Please, don't cry. It's OK. Really it is.
