I fixed you then you broke me

Stripped down your parts

Reassembled components

Held you through the dark

It took three weeks

To restore you piece by piece

Your shattered soul pricked me

As I picked up the slivers

And made you whole

With blood struck fingertips

I stitched and fixed

And re-ignited the core

But love’s labours are lost

My devotion unrequited.

My soul lies all around me

Blood tipped shards I cannot reach

My senses are in pieces

But there is no-one here to see.
