Funny Foot
The shortest creature I ever knew
Was just a foot until he grew
A narrow leg upon his shin
And I watched in wonder his growth begin
I wondered just how tall he’d be
As he sprouted hairs upon his knee
Onwards upwards grew his thigh
Reaching treelike in the sky.
My mouth fell open with surprise
I had never seen a leg this size!
Atop a peachy bottom grew
Not just one cheek
Now there’s two!
From the crack there grew a nose
Longer than his fleshy toes
And on each cheek
There grew two eyes
Bluer than the bluest skies
He gazed at me.
What could I say?
I simply watched him hop away.
