Fragments
The house is cold,
Although the central heatings on
Old pictures on the wall
Do not tell that you’re gone.
We shared our lives together
Never thought the time would come
Marching in our sorrow
To the dull beats of a drum
‘Tomorrow wait for me’
At your side, in death, my place
Holding on forever,
Entwined in loves embrace.
Your face within the mirror
Drapes shadows in my eyes
Those lights that burned so brightly
Have flickered and demised.
Distance shall not part us
In life you will remain
Held inside my heart
Where death has no domain
