Fear not as I am here, and I shall keep you safe. Now would you fetch me a brandy Philomena? I find that a glass or two steadies the nerves.

Jacob, I don't know where Urat is either, so we're looking after the place in his absence. Let Philomena pour you a brandy, I shall be having one.

Sweeney has taken your cart? You poor little Pixie. That does surprise me actually, he seemed quite content to stay in his room when I spoke to him. I can offer you transport to Toraz, after all you should not leave here without an escort. I would happily assist you, I hate to see a young lady in distress.

Happy to pay for my drinks. I work for a living. Urat says a lot of things, never thought of myself as brave, but I'll stand my ground. Sounds like you've got troubles. Don't fret. I'll stick around until Urat gets back. Slayvern Kursk, I know of him, nasty piece of work. I'll take a seat by the window. Don't expect too many visitors, the paths are blocked and guarded. I think they're waiting for something.

I find that I'm a little short at present Jacob, perhaps you'd stretch to a few drinks or two?

I've had to use much of my money to pay for medicine for my sick brother. He's been struck by a terrible chest infection, and I could not watch him suffer.

I never let the man out Philomena, I simply popped in after the bar closed to see how the fellow was feeling. Can't be an enjoyable experience to be locked up, I should know, I've been locked up a few times myself.

I don't need your stories Darius, but I'll buy a bottle to share. Thanks Philomena, five tobran normally covers a bottle in this place if I remember. I think we can hold our own against them, I'm not much of a fighter these days, I'm glad to say, I just run my butcher's shop, and that's the only meat I cut through these days. I'm sure we can protect this Knight of yours. Who can we count on?

I do feel a little easier now you are here but I am so worried for Urat and Kalvos. We love Urat so much, he is like family to Gwenllian and I. What would we do without him? They are waiting for something, what could it be? I will fight them if I must but I do nöt want to kill if I can help it.

Who can we count on? I am unsure. Kal Sevrin is on our side but no-one else has given us support except Darius. Otherwise it is just Gwenllian and I. The three holy brothers have tried and failed, they only made things worse.

Darius was good with a sword once, but he's a hard drinker these days, don't know how reliable he can be. May have to give the hat girl a weapon.

Gwenllian I know of, not that we've spoken, I don't think we have, feisty girl.

Don't know who Kal Sevrin is. I guess you mean Wayland? He's a fairly impressive figure. He hangs out with a wise bunch, but Slayvern Kursk is not a man you can reason with. He's simply a killer. But he's a hired hand, they'll be someone else pulling his strings, I betcha that.

They probably want to capture Urat, to demand an exchange, a life for a life. They know that you have magic, that maybe keeping them back. I counted about twenty out on the path, and they're a surly, angry bunch. Some look a bit black and blue, someone must have given them a beating.

I think I'll just put my feet up, have a few drinks and wait to see who comes through that door. I've got my club and my cleaver.

Let's just stick together.

Kal is someone who stays in the shadows, with good reason to. One of the many who drink here, hoods worn low over their face. Let me pour you a drink as Darius has taken your bottle. The only other who could help us has too high a price on his head to come here while Kalvos remains. There is of course Silas Shantee but he is in prison at present.

Gwenllian, yes feisty and brave. Even Slayvern was impressed.
