Hey single solitary man
Alone in a fantasy land
Surrounded by make-believe
Watching dreams turn to sand

Giving far too much
You take far too little
Pain of failure trickles in
Makes broken bones brittle

Weary in daylight
Night brings no peace
Immersion in loneliness
Remains the easiest release

Safety in numbers
Yet fear crawls on your skin
The monsters play loudly
You cower to nothing in the din

Early sun ends solace
As it always does and will
Faithful demons still clawing
Clinging selfishly to you still

Hey single solitary man
Alone in a fantasy land
Drowning in reality
Reach out for my hand

I'm not a fairy! I'm an Arkangyl. You know, the ones that fly around and fight demons and such! But lately I'm more interested in trolls. Ugh. Nasty things.
