Chilly air
Pine trees that stare
Soft sand on feet
A log to rest on as a seat
Haunted sky at night
Makes you hold on tight
As animals join in
When eeriness tries to win
You feel exposed
Vulnerable & yet clothed
But the woods are my friend
A listening ear they lend
As walkers drive me around the bend
These are my Haunted Woods
Where I met my end
