Carados wasn't using the Wolf Witch to help control Philomena was he? I know he would never hurt her but she is strong willed. Kidnapping her to safety rather does sound like the sort of thing he would do. Not that Philomena would bear a grudge, she always forgives Evarne for kidnapping attempts.

More soldiers Elios? I would ask everyone to keep quiet, my mistress is still in bed recovering from her near-death experience last night.

Meadow, magic or no magic, Carados has her best interests in mind. Until we end these human squabbles over who loves who more, we will never reunite the kingdom. Kalvos must respect her father and Carados must accept her love.

*Horses approach. The sounds of a man begging for mercy fills the tavern. One knight enters the tavern and greets Elios.

Elios, I am sent from the castle. The Queen and Duke expected Princess Philomena at first light. Assuming her inability to travel, they sent me with their news. The jeweler, Figglebert, is outside ready to admit to his wrongdoing.

*The knight sees Meadow standing nearby and tries to remain professional although taken back by her beauty. He focuses on Elios for direction.

Nazik, the Queen sent you personally? An honour for the princess indeed.

*He raises an eyebrow*

Alas Lady Philomena has been too weak to leave her bed. Leave the jeweller here and when she comes down he can ask her for mercy.

*The knight tells the other knights to leave the jeweler here. The four of them enter the tavern for a drink. They approach the bar and look to Arabella.

Ma'am, we are hungry and quite parched. What do you have available?

We have fine wine and good ale, mead from Micklin Meadow, brandy from Riverfleet, we have firewater and old spirit or of you want tea we have gadroon tea or dewberry.

*She hands them menus.*
