*Abigail Henteeth walks through the tavern checking the locks and bolts. She takes a parchment and writes to her master Carados.*

*Esper returns from scouting the area. She has learned of vampires near the tavern. As she approaches the tavern door, it is locked. Of course, closed doors are no problem for a spirit. She rushes through the wall and looks around to see an empty room with just one guard sleeping against the bar with sword in hand. Esper is tempted to frighten her but decides to sit and wait for Philomena to unlock the tavern for business. Esper finds it very odd that the doors are still locked so late in the day. She picks up the Tattler and begins to read all about Philomena's rescue.
