I thought I would come in for a while for Urat's breakfast. However, it is somewhat cool in here. Not cold, just invigorating. That's a fine beast outside, remarkably placid for one looking so fierce. Maybe that's how they are when they are carrying young. I don't know, I have never seen such a creature before.

Oh Xibes I'm so Happy to see you home, safely, eve has been so brave but she has missed you dreadfully, I think she must have felt something of your return, for her spirits were a little higher last night.

Thank you so much Firewater would go down lovely, I've warmed up all too fast at the sight of you all, wasn't sure that was going to happen again. Oh it is amazing to be back, and a weight has been lifted, can't wait to see my eve, I shall wait for her to arrive in her own time, perhaps I'll hide when she is due in, hehe that will be a fine surprise! Mmm this toast is delicious Philomena, carrying young you say Glosnik? No wonder she put up such a fight! Hope eve was as brave as ever in my absence She was my strength, even without knowing it. I think I may just nibble this toast and sip my firewater somewhere near an open window! Love you all so dearly.

Indeed, Xibes, she is pregnant. At least two, so there may be difficulties. I sense something strong in her, that these babies are more important to her than her very life.

I take it Eve is the fairy? Excuse me, I am still new here. It will take me a while to get to know everyone. Eve holds a strength that she is barely aware of. Fortunately, it is a strength tempered with wisdom and kindness. Expect extraordinary things from her.

You are extraordinary yourself Xibes. Do I understand you are an ice princess? I heard that an ice prince was kidnapped about 20 years ago. Is he any relation?

Ah mothers. How I miss my dear mama, her beautiful purple hair flowing behind her as she dives through stormy waves. There is not a sweeter soul that swims in the sea than my dearest mother. I do not know when I shall see her again but. I must not cry, it is for her I am here. But one day, one day I shall return to the sea and my family again.

Is Kalvos awake yet? I have bought some bandages thrice blessed by Farfell monks and I will change his dressings. Oh, I've bought you a box of cigars too Urat, I thought you might be running low.

I am not too tired, I think I shall watch over him tonight as well . Eve needs to spend her time with Xibes and Gwenllian needs rest. The monks had imbibed an awful lot of Holy Spirit before the blessing. That's got to be a good thing.

The moonlight is strong tonight, I think it pulls me a little closer to the sea. What do I see in my mirror? Sometimes I see a great storm, waves crashing high over one another. Sometimes I see the great crystal city ruled fairly and wisely by my beautiful grandmother, sometimes I see the black ships waiting to wreak bloody havoc on distant lands and sometimes I see a whisper of my future love, a cloaked figure in the mire whose face I cannot see and I do not want to see.

Silas and Darius were due to be executed today, I have paid the governor and can only hope he is wearing the right trousers today.
