Wayland and I are brothers of the spirit, which goes deeper than blood. The great city I speak of is far from here in a land where people's minds are clouded by dreams of joy from joyless things. It wore me out to be among people so deceived that they even deceive themselves.

Wayland told me of this land when he visited the great city recently. He said this was a place where life and people are simpler, and I mean that in it's best light. Yet even here there are those with secrets. An officer of law in the pay of an enemy. A monster with the heart of a child.
