She's trying to change me but she won't succeed
She can slap me, abuse me, make me bleed
But she'll never, ever keep me down!
Though I may sometimes wear a frown
It's only ever temporary
There's far too much to keep me merry.

Of course there are times that I wish
That life was a simpler dish
But I'm glad it's not, in a way,
It's made me who I am today.
So don't give in to 'her' my friend
Keep smiling 'til the bitter end!
