The soldiers stand outside the tavern deep in conversation. They look towards the tavern and then towards the stables. Finally they saddle up the bay horse and the dapple grey mare.
Trybus mounts the mare. They throw one final glance towards the tavern and gallop off towards the mire.....

Dear friend, there is no need to be concerned. I was just thinking about Kerdisha. Do not disturb Kalvos, he is exercising to get fit for his duel.
I shall go and take some soup up to Urat and Shayle, I don't know about more bar staff but we could certainly do with a full-time nurse here!

Oh. I saw Militia outside. I've done nothing wrong. I want to know what's happening?! This is to do with Kerdisha isn't it?! I had nothing to do with that. What if they arrest me?! I'm too young to be put in prison, and the privy will be dirty, and I won't be allowed to take my brushes with me. They don't serve dewberry juice in goal either. Oh I feel sick!
