Think I might have missed something missed something quite important?

Oh my what is going on? I know that Wayland is a very powerful wizard, or used to be, but he spends so much time writing that he may have neglected his powers. Who is Mrs West? I know she lives in Uther's Woad, but very little else. I've missed something too Baggage, it looks like someone might get hurt! Not another death in Grimney surely?!

Tanza, I am touched that you fear for my safety. You are mistaken about one thing, though. I am not powerful. In fact, I have no power at all. I have spoken about the Instructor, the being that accompanies and guides me? It is his power. I am merely the channel, the focus. So far, I have found no limits to his power. He once gave me words to speak that caused a whole army to lay down their weapons and leave in peace.

Have you heard of the Lake of Glass? It is the middle of the Wilderness of Nor. That was created when the Instructor gave me words to call down lightning, which transformed a small region of sand to glass.

Tanza, I am only one person, and I do what I can.

I don't "wipe out armies", I bring peace. That is my role, to bring peace in all it's forms. There are others of my kind, and they may visit Grimney from time to time. In fact, some may already be here.

It is not my place to encroach on other people's territory or work. Indeed, the reverse, my place is to help people find fulfilment in their lives, whatever that may be to them. For a fulfilling and content life is a source of much peace.

The army I spoke of was about to attack a harmless fishing village. My words made the soldiers see that their leader did not deserve their loyalty and obedience for commanding them to perform such an atrocity.

Such a good boy Wayland. Bringing peace and harmony to all. We have no need of others to help us make Grimney peaceful. Together, we can make this Land a pleasant and quiet place to live. The Coven holds little interest for me. They are jealous of us and our unfailing wisdom. We need no others.

Tanza you mock me all too quickly. Remember I took you in when you first needed lodgings. I listened to all your heartache and fed you well. Now you seek to drag my good name through the mud. I feel only pity for you. Still I feel a little love left in my heart for you and will accept you are an imperfect soul who just wishes to be respected for your brash and foul-mouthed behaviour. Poor you. Like your father, you rage through people's lives destroying their happiness and taking great pride in the demon's work you do so well.
