How we do this, i do not know, and knowledge and truth resides in what we do not know.

this ludic game/puzzle has been possed by the genius that is Nassim Nocholas Taleb, i've travelled for 6 years urban surfing from one coicedence to the next and i find myself by chance in your land, and I'm looking to the people of grimney to maybe be a solution, maybe an answer, a direction or even a lesson before i can proceed on my journey. This game is a journey and an adventure into the land of the unknown and the unknowable, that will lift from the pages of grimney into reality, the realm that has fasninated us with our instinctive scent drawn toward the poles of science, religion, magic and the occult.

This game is not a journey for the light hearted, it may require sacrfice on the road, however the understanding that you have served its purpose and like the hydra, your head removed that you will become 2 more heads, exploring the two paths it has created in its "happening".

To do so we must have rules/guidlines to be that of antifragility and become a body/group of that of a hydra for us to achieve this target.

It is what we 'don't know' this we need to explore this is are starting point, not what we already know.

Care to step inside this coincidence, this doorway, this rip, this puncture between fact and fiction, this where the facts no longer shape reality and imagination now shapes the facts, niether master nor slave?

Urban...do you believe in the Dream Maker/Dream Master? From what you say, you sound like you very much might.

Sorry Rainmaker, thought you were talking philosophically not literally! It does sound like you're trying to sell something
Tanza what's the dream-maker business?
It seems I am bereft of imagination, so probably not the best candidate for a Grimney patron :|

Baggage...how can you say you're not imaginative? Your stories prove entirely otherwise. You belong here more than many others...who just skip by, not bothering to even say hello. Curse them and their voyeurism. Grimney would be nothing without the wide variety of characters we all know and love.

Urban...I don't need instruction on such things...I could probably write YOU a book on the subject, but wouldn't keep shamelessly banging on and on about it in forums. However, your politeness and willingness to join in our fun and games seem to have masked your spamming efforts quite adequately.

We must talk lucid dreams sometime...but not now...I'm too busy knitting.

My journey took me into the occult for 14 years of my life. I escaped when it became too dangerous for my sanity, and began a new path, that I have been on for more than 30 years.

My life is full of coincidences and chance occurrences, as if pieces of an enormous jigsaw were being assembled. Everything I need I have, whether it is material, financial, spiritual or otherwise. Every time it looks like I am heading for disaster, I end up better than before.

I get times of revelation, where I get a sense of the overall jigsaw picture. These lead to changes to my very nature, affecting thought processes, even down below instinct.

I can characterise it as personal deconstruction. I have become aware of my limitations as far as knowledge, wisdom, intelligence and strength are concerned. This self-awareness has allowed me to have an accurate view of myself, which gives me stability.

I know that my opinions, assumptions, plans and ambitions are all flawed, so I try to avoid them. Taking each moment and situation as I find it.

I can laugh at myself, insults and praise have little effect on me, I don't get embarrassed or feel foolish. I am emotionally free.

From my perspective, I consider other people as better than me, people I can learn from, people deserving of love and kindness. I make no judgement about them, even if they set themselves against me. This means that I can resolve conflicts by non-resistance, without retaliation. Also, when I do suffer illnesses and so on, my attitude has changed from "why me?" to "why not me?". After all, to complain about a setback implies that someone else deserves it more. That implies I am better than they are, which is counter to my journey.

I have a reducing sense of self. Not there yet. I practice by doing menial and dirty jobs, and by eating whatever food I am given. I deliberately do not exercise preferences. This means that I can take joy from things that would cause others to whine and complain.

Although my view of myself is increasingly small, I find that my life is increasingly open to more possibilities. I am not shackled by self-image or expectations. I have nothing to prove, no status to defend.

My life is, however, open to the miraculous. There are the coincidences, as I have said. There is the fact I have no needs that are not fulfilled, and very few worries. There are also the times when I have received wisdom, knowledge, and strength from outside myself. This means that, whatever situation I find myself in, I know I will have all the resources I need to deal with it. I can go through life without fear.

I can tell you, that this is totally different from my experiences with the occult. That experience was one of enslavement. This is about liberation .

Waycyber...you have made me feel quite thoughful today. Nothing to do...nobody to do it for...relaxing into my own bizarre world. I see a few parallels between us and feel you might be able to understand my rambling crumbs of grey.

Is anyone ever heading for disaster? Or...do we draw it in upon ourselves? Do we invite it into our lives...so we can work on it...analyse it...beat it and move on? Do we, in fact, feed on difficulties...so we can have our fill of them? Does it enable us to treat further encounters with indifference...like a vaccine that immunizes you against future invasion? Do we welcome the first sign of trouble...only to become stronger against those that follow behind?

Should we?

Or...should we place ourselves in a position where nothing can harm or upset us? Should we surround ourselves only with people who say nice things to us and treat as as we feel we should be treated? Should we keep ourselves out of harm's way and hidden from disaster? Should we be so insular that we do not get the chance to discover our own weaknesses and limitations...we do not allow others to point them out...we do not approach people who might make us feel less than we would like to think we are?

What would happen then? Maybe, we would never be able to survive life's little knocks that come tapping every so often. Maybe, we would regress to a darker place as our lives taper off...feeling lost and unable to cope with even the smallest insult or let-down. Maybe, we would become so reliant on the people who have, without question, boosted our ego at every turn...we would fear them leaving...feel we are nothing without them...then be nothing to ourselves.

Is it better to be looking back into a raging furnace...than forever fearing walking into one?

Isn't it far better to progress from the darkness of insecurity, disaster, pain and rejection...into the light of realization? Realization that we have learned all there is to learn about ourselves and who we are...that we are here on this earth to become ourselves and have nothing else to fear...but ourselves.
