Post subject:  facing the shadows - my non rhyming poem
Facing the shadows
was my biggest fear
as a young child
The boogie men :evil:
were fierce
& I never dared
Look under my bed!
So my parents left
The light on just for me
What a waste of electricity!
Singing myself to sleep
Was also good
for some soul food
But now I'm free
I'm not scared to be
& so at night
Instead of creating a fright
I like to continue
Emulating with my hands
Projecting many on the wall
Rabbit figures, which are
Faces in the shadow! 8-)
