Been away awhile and can't remember what I have and haven't posted. This was written before Xmas following a midnight walk in the Graveyard at a place called 'Cocking' near Midhurst.

Souls at rest

Moonlight bounce off the church slate roof
From whence the chosen prey
Saving souls for the risen lord
In the sunny light of day.

Souls at rest under eerie earth
Who burns and who’s at peace?
Venus watches as the worms chow down
Dust to dust beneath our feet.

Starlight shining on the memory stones
Loves long lost from view
Wait to greet you when you pass?
There’s darkness under yew.

Really like this Nydas. Great word play and it has a really eerie atmosphere.

Ditto Nydas. You're brave walking through a graveyard at midnight!
