It started low,
then rose and soared
catching my breath and
stealing my heart
it hovered out of reach
trembling in the air
then again took flight
and swooped and fell
brought tears to my eyes
and fed my soul
the wondrous, beautiful sound
of a heart achingly pure
soprano voice
