They say life's a struggle
But only til they completely
take the last bit of fight you had
Then your left knowing your nothing
Or is it the release you needed
to get your life back
To take control
Only now I see
whats really important to me
Still something missing
But now this is what I can focus on
Take something positive from the negative
A new year a new me
Or I can hope
Until I return to that place
where you still expect me to fight
Hope I can stay strong
Or back to being nothing for me

It's so easy to feel like nothing, Witch. Usually, it comes from other people treating you as such. New people come into your life when you're least expecting it. New people who think like you and understand your way of thinking. They will make a big difference in your way of thinking. I don't consider myself to be best friend material or the greatest at fitting in with so-called 'close' family life. I see things differently to most others...and they, in turn, see me as an outsider. It used to make me feel wrong...as if I wasn't being a 'good' person to everyone else.
I've said this before, but age really does help. I know, by then, you've been through the hard times over and over, but you really do look back and realize you just weren't cut out to be the person everyone expected of you. Trying and failing and trying again to no avail is no good for anyone. Once you realize you're just you, you'll see it's for the rest of the world to decide if they belong in your life or not...that's when you will find a bit more peace.
Be proud of yourself and have confidence in the decisions you make for yourself. After all, it's your life you're living...not theirs...and they're most certainly not living yours. They are most certainly living THEIRS!
One day you'll just say 'Stuff it all'. Or words to that effect, but I'm feeling polite today...for a change!
I know people older than me who still haven't turned their thoughts around. They still believe they were born to fit in and keep the peace so everyone else can be happy. I was lucky...and you will be too. Keep that chin up and be proud of your individuality.
