THE INTERNET STALKER

Making notes about my routine
Skulking around in my life unseen
Hacking into my Facebook and Skype
Analysing my words, as I sit and type

Scouring Google to find out more
What can I do? It's above the law
Studying posts with a fine-toothed comb
Travelling miles to stand outside my home

Telling me later you know what I wear
To the shops and to work, just to prove you were there
Expecting respect or some warped admiration
For proving you know all about my location

Believing your actions will make me amused
That I'll laugh and think nothing of being abused
Feeling so proud that you've delved far too deep
But you're wrong...you're a stalker, a freak and a creep

Hope this isn't based on a personal experience!

Nothing recent!!! Don't worry! Even now, I cringe when people display private information about someone for all to see in an attempt to show how good they are at using the internet to gather information. However, we can all do that. We just choose not to. I think it's called...'having a life'. More sensitive people would be affected quite badly by that sort of thing. I just think it's creepy when people want to impress you by telling you facts about yourself. I already know. I'm clever like that!

Interesting poem Tanza. That's the advantage of being here. You can't be sure of anyone. Although, I do wonder how much the characters reflect the people. I guess we could do a psychological profile via Grimney!

Yes Don1 I've dumped Facebook too, this is more fun for me. No more daily updates, and I can write when I like, where I like. :D

I still like facebook, which is good because I do social media marketing as part of my role. Think you have to be careful about privacy settings and what info you broadcast. I'm very wary of 4sq for example. Recently got into twitter which I like more.

I do like the anonymity of Grimney though, I believe it let's our creativity out and let's us befriend those we wouldn't necessarily meet on FB and twitter. I also like the fact that it's nit plastered of photos of drunken nights out. We can completely remain in the shadows if we wish. Same with my blog, although there is one photo of me it is rather enigmatic, so it is me but not me.
