Your eyes dam up wells of laughter, And love and pity and care; But the waters are always in flood And too much for a dam to bear. The deluge pulses like dawn-light Or the glow about Jeshua’s hair. From eyes that pour to eyes that draw, To a need from a wish to share. Now I know this quenching glow It leads me to declare “Immerse this parched and drying heart And drown out all despair!” |
