In quiet fields we lay together
whispering promises of love forever

Arms entwined, lips locked in lust
no-one could turn our dreams to dust

we laughed, we loved, we made our plans
we walked together hand in hand

only we mattered, the world didn't exist
and stars exploded when we kissed

It wasn't an easy path to tread
it would never last, so everyone said

I hear you ask, how did it all end?
were hearts broken, never to mend?

eleven years on, we lie together
still whispering promises of love forever
