Out into the darkness He did go Why he went We do not know Leaving his wife And an only child Worrying and fretting Imaginations going wild Some time later When he did not return She sat there watching The rising sun Weeks went by No news was told Would her husband Again she ever hold The one day A knocking on the door Two policemen standing Her heart left numb and sore She never found out Why he left that night But she'll always remember His love that shone bright |

Thanks, Trying to keep writing but kids stressing me, hate the summer hols. Kids have no imagination anymore. |
