I have no regrets
not for all the tears shed,
for the harsh unforgiving words shouted,
for the opportunities missed,
for the dark days in bed
speaking to no one.

I would not, if I could
go back and change it,
walk away and start again
for among all the heartache and pain
there were two perfect moments

Sometimes I wish I could have been a parent. I was almost a stepdad once, but have never and will never have a child of my own.

I think children, especially young ones, are almost magical. Their laughter is infectious. Their sense of wonder astonishing. It's like seeing the world through innocent eyes again.

The 2 year old that would have been my step-daughter will be a teenager now. She was amazing at 2. It would have been wonderful to watch her grow up.

I'm truly sorry you will never have that pleasure wayland it is indeed a joy . I have posted a video on my proud mama thread of my youngest son in action . It's a great pity you could not share such moments with your would be step daughter x

I am not marriage material. I enjoy friendship too much. Going beyond that was a disaster. For me, no marriage means no children.
