Autumnal scents are in the air The days are getting cold. Leaves keep falling on my hair And trees are looking old. Mother Nature's starting Her long and wint'ry sleep, The clouds are barely parting for The sun to have a peep On golden leaves and fruitful trees, The harvest has begun. The hay is baled; The wind it sings With children having fun. Red-rosy noses shining And cold breath's visions sharpen Thoughts of warmth to smiling, Even though nights darken. Longer nights and shorter days Encroach upon our time: BUT Our lives adjust as e'er they have And will again through time. |
