There was a Gatekeeper Who guarded the ancient thrones of Egypt & was revered more than a slave For he held the sacred key to the King's crypt Only he knew the password Only he held the key It was placed in his heart So ceremoniously When the judgement day came & went His heart was balanced on scales It was as light as a feather Although Laid bare on a bed of nails Then one day the King stepped from his throne & yanked his heart apart The most sacred of keys revealed A precious love of Ma'at |
