When my heart sang it's song for you
I breathed to see you smile
Unspoken words, I know you felt
And that was enough for a while

When my heart raced at sight of you
I thought we had forever
And looking back - how long it seemed
That you and I were together

What did we know? In love's
First bloom, we felt something magical start
I wish I'd treasured each flutter of joy
If I'd known that we would part

But first love's kiss may not be last -
In life there's no guarantee
And though it's long since in the past
I wonder... Do you ever think of me?

The past is best kept for rosy views
Of edited memories fun; But
Although we lost each other
I hope we find our true one.
