I dream of becoming a dragonfly
Hovering over water under bright sunny sky
Surrounded by nature, on lilypads green & gay
Relaxing & watching the cows eating hay
With my large multifaceted eyes
I can see horizons of insects & butterflies
& with my two pairs of transparent wings
I move in time to the blackbird as she sings
You will find me in the woods by a lake
But don't disturb me, for Nature's sake!
I come in many different colours & I reflect
A hologram with hues difficult to detect
So if you are passing by the thistle
Just say Hi & blow me a whistle
