Fold upon fold
Of ivory satined cream
Wrapped within itself,
Its own heart to hold
Firm in its wrap,
Yet, pure beauty in its simplicity,
Innocence in its form,
Gentle in its delicacy.
I dare not grasp this
Pure untouched beauty:
It is -
For the eye to pause,
For the breath to hold,
For the heart to consider -
That it unfold in its own way.
Let your beauty pierce me not
Drawing the crimson trickle
Of regret.
This moment of love offered,
I will not forget.
