My postie is so personable A great asset to our community He delivers good & bad news But always with a smile & a ditty Today he hand delivered an album Of memories from years ago Holding a key to a commemoration & For me, many a sorrow I'm sure he has many stories to share Because I know he loves a quip I no longer need to read the papers As I receive first hand gossip My postie loves neighbouring networks & connects lost souls together But runs at the sign of waterworks Old feet suddenly light as a feather My postie is a good friend & helps all he sees I hope he is now on the mend From drinking too many teas. |
