You slithered in the dark so long But now you try to break my soul. A few chosen words, you use to scare And I am lost in the years you stole. Your sickness creeping around my skin A layer of filth than can never be cleaned, When I felt at last I was free You waited until my life gleamed. Then writing yourself as a villain miscast, And telling yourself your own poison lies My world once more you try to shape, You play your game with a victim’s disguise. Oh monster, you have never bled For you have no heart to pump blood, No soul to feel shame or regret, Shall I be free when you rot in mud? But your mask has slipped down A glimpse of your evil seen by few Push me more and I will tear it all And your rotten core the world will view. |
