Throat is blocked with emotion
So much so, I no longer have a voice
& yet a croakiness sometimes escapes
Filling every ear with remorse
But still no round sound
from my inner core
I'm willing any rhythm
From this silence, I abhor
Throat lies dormant & still
But like Mount Vesuvius
It could erupt again
So treat it with caution
Now I can hear
There's no need for sound
When love is the language
A comfort blanket to wrap around
