For all of your tears.
My words were betrayal
Your heart I rent:
I caused so much hurt
And your anger I spent.
I know it was felt
Your mum told me so
When we met at a meeting
Not long ago.
I hurt her baby,
Her treasure her love-
I know now why she
Took off her glove.

I killed your love and fired your sorrow.
So what was my fault?
Was I too mature?
Or was I a coward who just wasn’t sure?
I did what was right
That was my mind
I thought I’d had to be cruel
Just to be kind.

You gave yourself
But I couldn’t receive,
