I can sometimes see a shadow overground
Fleeting figure in the corner of my eye
Freakish sound when there's no-one else around
Convinced you were killed and didn't naturally die
Are you a lost soul as you darken that stair?
Or are you here to comfort, help me provide relief...
Sometimes you just stand with no movement there
But I wonder if you are out to cause me mischief?
Please say something, who was it who murdered you?
I see you stare deep into my eyes, an anger seething
A realisation now comes over me, memory long lost
I was diagnosed with Dementia, my brain slowly leaving
This man is in pain! his life cruelly ripped at high cost
I recall an argument, a crossing of swords, a death dealing
He lived a Grimney Knight & then I realise, it was I, who ghost accost
I always look like a ghost first thing in the morning!
