Sweet Suzanna, softly sleeping Beyond the meadow, the sun is peeping What wonders will this day hold for her? Will she find someone to adore her? So she to the bathroom dashes, Showers, shampoos, cleans teeth, mouthwashes. Her legs and underarms she shaves, Wishes that her hair'd behave. Moisturiser, foundation, blusher Wrinkle-cream, lipstick, and mascara False nails, false lashes - eyes look bigger Dresses to enhance her figure. Deodorant, fragrance makes her smell nice High heels, low dress, jewels and necklace She looks like a model from TV But her real self, no-one can see. Sweet Suzanna, please awaken Your beauty's not from bottles taken Show the world the real Suzanna No make-up, comfy clothes, you are a winner. |

I wish it were so. Suzanna has no confidence in herself as she is. When she dresses up, as she does even to go to the shops, it transforms her. However, what people see is a public performance. An act. I wish that Suzanna valued herself as she is. Then the making up and dressing up would be for fun and expression. With Suzanna, it's a mask. |
