So easily misplaced, Or lost without a trace, Conveniently erased, Denied to keep a face. Sometimes undercover, Or shouted from on high, Essential with your lover, A cause for which to die. A simple test of trust, Belief, the strongest kind, The enemy of lust, A shield to stand behind, A cause of inspiration, The start of many wars, Makes or breaks a Nation, In name it levels scores. Surely nothing is that strong? Just what has so much power?, It's 'Faith' for reasons right or wrong, That guides each waking hour. Stronger than a regiment. Has ear of Kings and Queens, Faith is born to tramp and gent, The center of our dreams. |
